Privacy Policy

Road Radar shows road events in Phuket (police checks, accidents, floods, hazards) reported by other riders. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.
Location
The app asks for location access only while it is open (“While Using the App”). It never tracks you in the background. Your location is used on your device to show events ahead of you and to place a report where you are. When you send a report or answer “Still there?”, the app sends that point, your direction of travel and GPS accuracy to our server.
Account
You can use the map without an account. To send reports you sign in with Apple or Google. We store an account identifier and the email address the provider shares (Apple may give a private relay address). If you sign in with Google, Google also shares your name and profile photo link; they are stored with your account and shown only to you. A name you enter yourself is stored only on your device.
If you answer “Still there?” without signing in, the app creates an anonymous session with a random identifier and no email or name. It is used only to count your answer once and to apply limits.
What other riders see
Other riders see events and a “N participants” count. They never see your name, email or account.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics (Google): the place in the code where it crashed, app version, device model, OS version and a random installation identifier. Crash reports contain no name, email, account or location. They are used only to fix bugs and are deleted by Crashlytics after 90 days.
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking across apps, no selling or sharing of data with third parties. The app has no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Where data is stored
Data is stored with Supabase (database hosting) in Singapore. Crash reports are stored with Google Firebase. Events expire automatically after a short time set per event type.
Deleting your account
Open Account → Delete account in the app. Your account, sign-in and personal stats are deleted. Reports you already sent stay on the map without any link to you until they expire.
Your rights
We process personal data under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to the contact below. Deleting your account in the app removes your account data right away.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
